8, Rue de la Laitiere is a gorgeous little town house, set in a completely peaceful and secluded courtyard, yet right in the centre of Bayeux. The house sleeps 4 and has one double bedroom and one with twin beds. Bathroom with shower etc is upstairs. Pretty sitting room, and a fully fitted kitchen are downstairs.

About Rue Laitiere

Number 8, Rue Laitiθre is a stone townhouse dating from the 19th century, set in the heart of the historic Norman town of Bayeux. Up to four guests can stay in its two bedrooms. The house is in a secluded courtyard within sight of the great Bayeux Cathedral and just a few minutes’ walk from the bustling town centre.

The front of the two-storey house faces onto a private courtyard filled with lush foliage. This is an ideal spot to relax and dine outdoors to the sound of the cathedral bells tolling in the background.
 
Inside, the two-storey home was recently refurbished to a high standard. All of the rooms overlook the courtyard. In the living room, a sofa and two armchairs surround the old stone fireplace.
 

Adjoining it is the fully fitted modern kitchen, with a dining area, an electric oven and stovetop, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a dryer. cellent selection of books and games for adults and children, and a wide choice of music to play on the stereo.

The master bedroom Upstairs are the two bedrooms. The double bedroom is decorated with pale blue toile wallpaper which gives the room a traditional French feel.

The second bedroom has a pair of twin beds, and is decorated in pinks and blues. The stylish modern bathroom has a shower, a washbasin, and a toilet.

Rental conditions

During peak season the house is available from 4pm on Saturdays, and must be vacated by 10am the following Saturday. Rental includes linens and bath towels, but not beach towels. Short breaks, a 3 night minimum stay, are available off season; please enquire. One-third of the full rental cost is required to secure a booking, with the remainder due 3 weeks before arrival. A security deposit of €200 is payable on arrival, which is fully refundable providing there is no damage to the house or contents.

Transportt No car is necessary to rent this house as the train station is nearby, but for day trips it is recommended.

• Cerisy la Forκt – a huge forest with red squirrels, deer and wild boar – fantastic for walking and cycling.

The Prices

The house is let on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday during the peak season (July and August), out of season short lets of a minimum of 3 nights are available. The rental includes bedding and heating. A welcome basket is provided on arrival. Entry on a Saturday is from 4pm onwards, and departure should be by 10am. On rentals of three weeks or more, a discount of 10% is available.

A deposit of 20% is required on booking, and a refundable deposit of €150 against breakages/damage. Payment can be made using a UK cheque, or we accept credit cards via paypal.
